The last day of the Timi\u0219oara Baroque Festival<\/strong> will be marked by an impressive, and possibly unique, presence from the Romanian cultural space – the Violoncellissimo Ensemble. The musical event supported by them, called “From Baroque to Contemporary”, will take place on October 19, 2014, at 7:00 PM, at the Banat Philharmonic in Timi\u0219oara, Capitol Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Violoncellissimo Ensemble<\/strong>, one of the most successful Romanian chamber ensembles in the last 15 years, appeared at the initiative of cellist Marin Cazacu. Together with current and former students of UNMB, the artist opened a new path in promoting music and young talents.<\/p>\n

Participation in the “G. Enescu” International Festival in 2001 and 2013 were considered unique events that enjoyed immense success. The \u201cVioloncellissimo\u201d concert on May 4, 2008 at the Romanian Athenaeum, when 60 cellists appeared on stage, and the one on May 26, 2013 with 100 cellists were considered concerts in the book of records.<\/p>\n

Thus, the adjectives \u201cextraordinary\u201d, \u201csensational\u201d, \u201cunique\u201d and \u201cunforgettable evening\u201d, which appeared in the press, made the rounds of the Romanian musical world.<\/p>\n

The recitals in Brasov, Cluj, Ia\u0219i, Sinaia, Sibiu, Timi\u0219oara, R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea and Bucharest \u2013 at the Romanian Athenaeum, recorded by Radio and Television, are exceptional sound testimonies that will remain in the memory of listeners for a long time.<\/p>\n

The ensemble\u2019s repertoire, consisting of original pieces and transcriptions \u2013 light, popular, pop, classical, contemporary and entertainment music \u2013 reflects the technical and expressive possibilities of one of the most beloved musical instruments \u2013 the cello, and the stylistic diversity through which it can express itself.<\/p>\n
